Serving the international automotive markets: With the opening of its location in Fuqing City, in the Fujian Province of China in September 2006, Angell-Demmel now manufactures its decorative trim parts in Asia, Europe and North America.
It is a very exciting time in the automotive industry as it continues down the path of globalization and growth in the emerging economies. The same vehicles are assembled in multiple locations around the globe, with an emphasis on decreasing development and production times, lowering costs to the end consumers, and offering the latest in technology and innovation. To compete in the global automotive industry requires leading suppliers to develop capabilities in the major global regions. Following on its successful expansion into Europe several years ago, Angell-Demmel decided to expand into Asia, in the Fujian Province of China, with a goal of participating in the established automotive markets of Japan and Korea, and in the newly emerging market in China. 
With an international leadership team and highly motivated employees , Angell-Demmel’s future in Asia appears bright. The grand opening of Angell-Demmel Asia took place the on 24 September 2006. Over 300 people attended the festivities, including the mayor of Fuqing, other official representatives of Fuqing, Fuzhou (the provincial capital) and the Fujian Province, and the board members and the international leadership team of Angell-Demmel. At the same time the employees started production of the first program of decorative trim parts for VW.
